Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 September 2026
Learn Earn Burn is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, where we store it, and the choices you have. We operate on a simple principle: your personal data stays in your home country.
1. Data sovereignty by design
When you create an account, you select a country of residence (for example, Australia or New Zealand). Your personal data - name, email, profile details, loyalty programme history, switching records, marketing preferences, and any other identifiable information - is stored in a data plane located in that country. It does not leave that country except where you expressly request a transfer, or where we are required by law to disclose it.
A minimal central registry is held separately so that we can authenticate you and route requests to the correct data plane. This registry contains only your user ID, your selected home country, and basic account status. No personally identifiable information is held in the central registry.
2. What we collect
We collect the information you provide directly, such as your email address, password, and country of residence. As you use the platform, we may also collect:
- Details of the loyalty programmes, accounts, and offers you choose to track;
- Your points goals, bucket-list destinations, and preferred reward types;
- Switching, referral, and reward opportunities you view or act on;
- Communication preferences and support correspondence;
- Technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, and cookies.
3. How we use your information
We use your data to:
- Provide and improve the platform, including personalised opportunity alerts;
- Track switching deadlines, referrals, and rewards on your behalf;
- Communicate with you about your account, updates, and offers (in line with your preferences);
- Keep our systems secure and prevent fraud; and
- Comply with legal obligations.
We will never sell your personal data. We only share it with third parties when necessary to operate the platform (for example, email delivery or analytics) or when you approve a specific action (for example, submitting a referral application).
4. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the platform is used. You can manage cookies through your browser settings. We use analytics tools that do not collect personally identifiable information beyond what is necessary for performance monitoring.
5. Your rights
Depending on your country of residence, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your personal data. You may also object to certain processing and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@learnearnburn.com.
6. Data retention
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account, we will erase or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, unless we are required by law to retain it longer.
7. Security
We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is completely secure, so we encourage you to use a strong, unique password and enable any additional security features we offer.
8. Children's privacy
The platform is not intended for anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or through the platform. Continued use after the changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.
10. Contact us
For privacy questions or data requests, please contact us at privacy@learnearnburn.com.
